New details have emerged about the death of 23-year-old Lucy Harrison, who was shot by her father, Kris Harrison, in Prosper, Texas, in January 2025 — about 30 minutes before she was due to fly home to the UK.
Earlier that morning, Lucy and her father had what her boyfriend, Sam Littler, described as a “big argument” about Donald Trump. The disagreement centered on politics and sexual assault allegations linked to Trump.
During the exchange, Lucy challenged her father, asking: “How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?” According to testimony, her father replied that he had other daughters and it “would not upset him that much.” Lucy became visibly distressed and ran upstairs.
Littler said political disagreements between them were not unusual and that Lucy would often get upset during debates. He also said tensions sometimes arose over her father’s gun ownership. (Now we can see why she was concerned)
Later that day, Littler testified that Mr Harrison took Lucy by the hand and led her into a ground-floor bedroom. Roughly 15 seconds after they went inside, he heard a loud bang. When he entered the room, he found Lucy on the floor with a gunshot wound while her father was screaming for his wife.
A Collin County grand jury previously declined to indict Kris Harrison in connection with her death.
