Pedro Rodrigues Filho, known universally as “Pedrinho Matador” is one of history’s most infamous serial k*llers.

Unlike those who preyed on the vulnerable, Filho actively targeted other criminals.
He spent over three decades in prison, where his body count actually multiplied, before he was released into society and transformed into an internet celebrity.
At just 14, Filho sh*t the vice-mayor of his town. The official had fired Filho’s father from a school caretaker job after accusing him of stealing school food.
Shortly after, Filho tracked down and m*rdered the school’s actual security guard, who was the real thief framing his father.
Following these first m*rders, Filho fled to São Paulo and he began robbing local slums and ex*cuting low-level dr*g dealers.
During this time, he fell in love with a woman named Maria Aparecida Olympia. When rival gang members brutally m*rdered Maria, Filho went on a rampage of pure vengeance.
He tracked down, t*rtured, and m*rdered several gang affiliates to find the culprits, ex*cuting everyone involved in her d**th before he had even turned 18.
The crime that cemented his terrifying reputation involved his own family.
His father, who had a history of extreme violence, m*rdered Filho’s mother.
Filho visited his father in the local prison. During the visit, Filho st*bbed his father to d**th.
In a disturbing display of ritualistic rage, he cut out a piece of his father’s heart, chewed on it, and threw it away.
Filho was arrested, but it was inside the prison walls that his true lethality was unleashed.
Over 34 years in prison, he m*rdered at least 47 fellow inmates.
He claimed he only k*lled people who “deserved it”—specifically targeting r*pists, child ab*sers, traitors, and fellow m*rderers.
Thought he did once k*ll a cellmate simply because the man snored too loudly.
While being moved in a police van, he was handcuffed next to a convicted r*pist. By the time the van arrived at its destination, Filho had strangled the man to d**th.
Filho was originally sentenced to 128 years in prison, a number that grew to over 400 years due to the m*rders he committed while incarcerated.
However, Brazilian law caps the maximum time any person can spend in prison (historically 30 years).
Having served 34 years, Filho was legally released in 2007.
