The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) tomorrow, Oct. 4.
The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. Both tests are scheduled to begin at approximately 11:20 a.m. Pacific Time.
The WEA portion of the test will be directed to consumer cell phones. All wireless phones should receive the following message only once: “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
The EAS portion of the test will be sent to radios and televisions.
FEMA and the FCC are coordinating with EAS participants, wireless providers, emergency managers, and other groups in preparation for this national test to minimize confusion and maximize the public safety value of the test.

Ah si supe de la mentada alarma, pero viviendo aquí en Californía estamos acostumbrados a estas notificaciones de mal tiempo, temblores, child abductions, silver alerts.

Escuché de varias teorías en todas las plataformas sociales habidas y por haber 
yo bien tranquis porque según yo, tenía mi teléfono bloqueado para cualquier tipo de alamas y ándale! Que a las meras 11:20 sonó!!! Yo fui la única en el trabajo que la tenía activa que vergüenza me dio! Lo bueno que solo emitió 3 sonidos y listo.
Hasta ahora no me convertido en zombie, quien sabe más tarde! A lo mejor es una metamorfosis lenta

NADA! SOLO QUE ERA UNA ALARMA… ACÁ SIEMPRE SIEMPRE NOS SALIA EN LA TV… HACIA CIERTOS RUIDOS Y LUEGO SE PONÍA LA ALARMA Y SE ESCUCHABA UN LOCUTOR DICIENDO QUE SOLO ERA UNA ALARMA DE RUTINA Y QUE SI ALGÚN DÍA ES NECESARIO DESPUÉS DE LA ALARMA SEGUIRÍA LA INFORMACIÓN E INSTRUCCIONES.
Apenas me fije y…no la tenia bloqueada
